Very Late entries are NOT available for M/F-21+ Elite, M/F-20 Elite, M/F-18 and M/F-16 NAOC Championship classes. Day-of event competitive entry is NOT available after the first start on that day.

Fun 4-hour Rogaine entries and Package

  • The Fun Rogaine counts towards the CORONA award provided that you also enter and complete all 9 Competitive Orienteering stages in your proper age-gender class; recreational entries do not count for the CORONA award.
  • If you volunteer at the World Rogaining Championships for more than 4 hours, you will receive a significant discount for the Fun Rogaine.

Recreational entries

  • Recreational orienteering entries are non-competitive, will not receive National ranking points, and are not eligible for orienteering prizes or awards.
  • Courses for recreational entries are separate from competitive courses, with separate starts and start procedure.
  • Starts for recreational courses will be at the same basic locations and the same start time windows as the starts for competitive courses.
  • Groups may enter the recreational courses. Each person in the group should register.
  • Groups may choose to punch individually or with just one e-punch per group.
  • Groups must inform the Starter that they are a Group, and how many punches they intend to use.

[2] Cancellations by competitors must be made in writing, preferably by email, to the Registrar: registrar@cal-o-fest.com

[3] Force Majeure is defined as circumstances affecting the festival that are outside the control of the Participants and the Organizers. Examples are War, Flood, Earthquake, Fire, Hurricane, Riots, Acts of God, Strikes, Pandemic.

[4] Examples of prohibitive travel are international border closure, visa refusal, quarantines, unavailable required vaccines. Please provide supporting evidence. Illness, injury and flight cancellation are not examples of prohibitive travel.

Changes Policy:

  • If the scope of the Festival is substantially changed by the Organizers, full or partial refunds will be offered. Partial refunds will be pro-rated.
  • Changes to entries may be made at any time before registration closes. Note that the cost of additions will be calculated based upon pricing in place on the date of change, not the original date of registration.
  • Changes to relay teams may be made until the relay team entry deadline, without cost, assuming the participants have already registered and paid for the relay.
  • Administrative changes may be made at the event using a change form available at the registration desk, and will cost $2 each. Examples: Name change, e-stick number change.
  • Class or Start time may be changed at the event at a cost of $10 per change; however, no start time changes may be made for NAOC Championship Classes M/F-21+ Elite, M/F-20 Elite, M/F-18 and M/F-16. Competitive changes for day-of-event must be completed before the first start.
  • Participants may change to recreational courses at any time with no additional cost over what they already paid.
  • Participants may request special start times by emailing the registrar at registrar@cal-o-fest.com before June 15. A valid reason must be given. Examples: parents with small children who need staggered starts, groups traveling together. Special start times cannot be accommodated for NAOC Championship Classes M/F-21+ Elite, M/F-20 Elite, M/F-18 and M/F-16.
